League Registration for 2012

League play is a great way to have meaningful games for your team no matter how many tournaments you plan on playing. Your players need games that mean something but do not have as much pressure as tournament games. We have great options for your participation.
The format for age groups 8-11 is outlined on the League 8-11 page. The other age groups are directed by the following age group directors and they are working with the teams to develop the exact league format. Please contact your appropriate director.

Below is a breakdown of the 2012 registration fees with an explanation.
NWBA Membership Fee - $25. This is the base fee to join NWBA and covers the basic administration costs of the association. (Web site, office supplies, postage, insurance administration, etc)
NWBA League Participation Fee - $35. This is an additional fee for teams playing in the league and covers league awards and the other costs of administering league play.
NFHS Rule Books (2) - $20. This is the delivered cost of rule books from NFHS plus the cost of mailing them to the teams. In the past the rule books have been bundled into the league registration fee. The last two years there was several hundred dollars worth of rule books undelivered because of inadequate mailing addresses from teams, therefore we are only going to order them for teams that specifically want them.
Insurance. If playing in the league, you must include the cost of insurance. Many teams have insurance and feel this is redundant, but there have been too many instances in the past where teams were not adequately insured to not include it for the protection of everyone. This covers games, practices and tournaments. Other team activities are covered except for high risk events (i.e. fireworks display). For exact coverages, please see the insurance certificate on the Forms page. Third party certificates are available at no cost. Cost is based upon age group as outlined below. For multiple age group teams, the age group is based upon the oldest player.
- 12 & Under - $65
- 13-15 - $90
- 16-18 - $115
Teams not participating in league play may also obtain insurance through NWBA. Just join NWBA and then select the insurance option for your age group.
