My son is going in to his sophomore year. He also plays travel ball. He is an average hitter great defensively at multiple positions and a very good pitcher. He is saying he wants to maybe be just a po going forward due to some conversations with friends and coaches. I am firmly against this because i think he is wasting other talents and i think due to his age it is unnecessary at this point. He is not happy about me not supporting this. What are the thoughts of other coaches or dads who's kids took the po route?
