Well maybe not so decent for those AM games.
Some very tough game schedules will probably play a role in the out-come.

What an Georgia experience we had last weekend in Cummings!

My son plays for the 14U Mid South Gamers Gold and we traveled from Memphis,TN along with our 14U Mid South Gamers Navy team to play in the Triple Crown Tourney this past weekend. We didnt know what to expect as this was our very FIRST tournament of the spring and we are a brand new team. The GOLD team played in Division 2 and had to fight for every win we got! There were some well talented teams in Division 2.

We played Roswell Hornets Green, Cobb Aces, Sports-A-Rama Spartans, Sandy Plains Wildcats, West Forsyth Diamond Dawgs and Stealth Baseball.

We were lucky enough to come away with second place as we played STEALTH BASEBALL in the Championship and fell 13-5. The game was a close (1-0) type of ball game till the late innings. Guess we ran outta gas and lost steam to finish the game versus a really good Stealth Baseball team.

As the only teams from out of town in the tournament, I felt like it was US against the WORLD!......lol. The facilities were nice and the umpires were consistent all tournament.

Just wanted to say HELLO to everyone as this is my first post. Lets get this 14U forum Up and Going!

We also had great, challenging games at Slugfest. Weather was great. Good fans, umps and TD's near or close by for all our games. We are off this weekend. Always relish off weekends, though missing ball when we are. Next week GA/FL GWS..........good times!

THANK YOU to all of the 252 teams that participated in this year's Slugfest tournament and contributed by enabling us to give back to the community to help others.

This year was our largest tournament ever and gives us the opportunity to make our largest charitable contribution ever.

As a result of this year's tournament, we will donate over $33,000 to multiple charities.

Over $6000 each will go to Northside Hospital Forsyth and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Over $3000 each will go to the Forsyth County Miracle League, Forsyth County Special Olympics, Humane Society, Family Haven (supports victims of violence and their families) and the Will to Live Foundation (dedicated to preventing teen suicide).
