Congrats to the Astros in winning the gold against the HP Chillidogs 4-1. There were alot of good teams and good ball played this weekend. We were impressed with the Chain Baseball team that knocked us out today and then later went down to the Astros 10-8.
Congrats also to Mountain View for taking the bronze.
No final score yet on the Roadrunners v. Kennesaw Baseball final in silver. |

| Astros played well as they should...looks like Homeplate is finally back, Chain was impressive as was EC Stars....Astros still the team to beat but some very good teams have closed the gap based on scores...congrats to TC for a great tournament! |

| Congrats to the Astros. Also Congrats to HP Chilidogs on a great tournament. Astros are the team to beat no shocker there. The championship game was a great game. It was the first time i really got to witness the Easton Rival. I know that most of it is the player holding the bat, but man that bat is hot. |

Home Plate did look good. Astros continue to impress me.
Jury is still out on the Stars for me. Looking back, they were the beneficiary of some very fortunate draws in both pool and bracket plays. The first real test of the tournament for them was the HP game and they lost it.
I also find it curious why Triple Crown forced some teams to play out of bracket in this tournament. With 11 3-team brackets, the logical choice would be to have each team play the other 2 teams in their bracket. Instead, it looks like 9 or 10 teams played out of bracket. In most tournaments, this may not be a big deal. But, since Triple Crown had 3 brackets, forcing the Georgia Roadrunners to play the East Cobb Pride in pool play forced both teams to use pitching that teams like the Stars, Astros, and Home Plate didn't have to use. I would argue that Pride and Roadrunners are two of the better teams in the tournament and it looks like they had a heck of a game which ended in a 3-3 tie. Once the Roadrunners went into the silver bracket, that put one of the top teams in the tournament into the middle bracket and made it so that the other teams in that bracket had much less of a chance of winning a trophy.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that one of the great things about Tony von D and TC is that they usually try to spread the talent out in pool play so that you don't have some of the better teams playing each other. So you usually end up with the better teams in the gold bracket and the others falling to the lower bracket or brackets. In this case, it looks like they went to extra trouble to make sure that some teams had tougher draws than others. |

| I would agree Hanging curve except the RR's lost to the Alpharetta Cyclones too...not sure if they were missing alot of players but if they win that one and they're in the gold for sure...they dont seem to be playing there best right now for some reason...the EC Pride is a good team for sure but almost got run ruled by the Expos a few weeks ago...lot of good teams this year |

| A few of the teams that thought they were dominate in the fall, and early spring are getting their heads handed to them, now that most true "major' teams have their full compliment of players back. Those early Elite 32 qualifiers.hmmmm....... The creme always rises to the top. |
