It’s getting close! Looking forward to having everyone out as I head up Sandlot Baseball, and put us on a path of strong player development, proper training, centralized facilities, and great coaching for every aspect of the game! If your child has the desire to be better, work hard, seek information, and study the game. Then I assure you he will always be surrounded with coaches who want to help him achieve his goals! Our MAIN GOAL here at Sandlot Baseball is to develop as many ball players as we can, and provide opportunities to get them into college wherever that may be!! PLEASE, continue spreading the word about Sandlot Baseball tryouts!
Tryouts will be conducted by coaches who have played only at high levels of the game. The younger age groups will be timed in 40 yard dashes, older ages will run the 60 yard dash. We will record the velocities of the older age groups from right field to home; velocity off the mound, and the velocity from short to first. Then we will have our catchers go behind the plate so we can record poptimes and velocities on throws to second. After this is all completed we will then move into batting practice where all of our coaches will be closely evaluating each player.
