The 15U East Cobb Colt .45s (Orange) have begun private workouts for the 2018-2019 season. The .45s will feature a balance of competitive Major Fall and Summer tournaments with organizations such as Triple Crown, Perfect Game as well as an on campus visit to one or two major D1 programs. The objective is to allow players the best competition and opportunities to prepare for the next level.
The program will be coached by an entirely professional staff. Head Coach Chris Frye will be joined by former Louisville Bat (AAA Cincinnati Reds) and Florida Gator Bryson Smith as well as Walton HS Catcher and Augusta University player Joey Szwec. The team will have catching, pitching, infield, outfield and hitting instructors on a weekly basis as we develop our young men and prepare them for their high school careers and beyond.
In addition, Bill Kemp has been added to the coaching staff. The well-respected former Head Coach of the Roswell Green Hornets program the last five years will bring great leadership and experience to the staff. A left handed pitcher from GCSU in his playing days, Bill has a great track record developing pitchers and a strong attention to detail on the field growing not only the fundamentals needed to play at the next level, but also getting the most out of all his players.
Pitching instructor Derek Varnadore (Auburn and NYY organization) and Coach Justin Roberts (UGA) will be joining the staff on a part time basis as well.
