Hobgood Braves just completed the 16U season and will hold an Open Tryout on July 26 and July 27 for rising 17U players. It is only necessary to attend one session. If these dates conflict for you, please contact us for a private workout.
July 26 (Friday) - 7:00PM - 9:00PM
July 27 (Saturday) - 10:00AM - 12:00PM
Tryouts will take place at Hobgood Park on Field 9. All rising 17U players are invited to attend. We played mostly PG events at 16U and expect to do so again in 2019/2020.
The Braves have experienced, volunteer coaches. This helps our families play in the best local tournaments at a budget friendly price. For 16U season, our position players paid $1,000 each while pitchers-only paid just $600.00. Yes, those are real numbers, and we expect the budget to be in that zip code for 2019/2020. This is an economical way to get your son playing against the best competition in this area.
There is no fee for the tryout. However, we do ask that you indicate your interest by providing player name, positions, parent email address, and a contact mobile number. Please forward requested information or questions to tad.goss@gmail.com.

That is an absolute AMAZING price for season costs!! And you play in the same tournaments as ALL the other, much higher cost programs like ECB, 643, etc?
Looking at your team's history, it looks like you guys have been very competitive over the last few years. It's amazing you do that at such low fees!! |

| Field 9 at Hobgood Park is part of the baseball complex. If you are at Field 1-4, that's the softball complex and you are in the wrong place. |

We are in Woodstock off Towne Lake Parkway. That’s Exit 8 off I-575. Click on the link in the original message for specific driving directions and an address.
Hobgood is our home park. All practices are held there on Field 9. |

We had 14 players on roster for the 16U season. Pitchers Only are absolutely welcome on this team. We carried two POs last season and could flex that up if the right guys have interest in joining this team. |

The weather forecast is looking good for this weekend. Try to arrive 15-20 minutes early so we can get everybody signed in and stretched out before the tryout begins. You are welcome to attend both days, but it is not required.

Come out and meet our coaches this weekend. Our well qualified pitching coach helps players meet their potential. Taking care of arms is a top priority. We keep players on strict pitch counts and will never try to win a baseball game if it means jeopardizing a player's future.
