The 14u East Cobb ASTROS private tryout will be Sunday July 21st from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on field 5.
The 14u Astros program will be overseen by Wes Etheridge. The current East Cobb Astros 14u and 12u coach. If you have any questions about the Astros only tryout feel free to call coach Wes at 7143420226 or Wesetheridge4@msn.com
The 14u Astros will have 2 teams this upcoming season (Orange) and (Navy). The current 13u Astros will have to tryout the same as everyone else. The reason for this is we believe in giving everyone an equal opportunity to make our teams and allow the player to prove they are of the right skill set to make our team. It is unfair to a player and family to show up at a tryout and the team you are trying out for only has 2 or 3 open positions. Your previous team, stats, and status do not matter to us. We want to see your skill set live and in person and evaluate your performance in order to for us to offer you a spot on the roster. The team will be coached by former pro and college players and we will run college/pro style practices. Reason's for this is to prepare the players for high school baseball and for them to get as many reps as possible every practice. Our team will be disciplined, structured, organized, and our players will be well coached, aggressive and play with 100% relentless effort. We are looking for athletes with good attitudes, a hard work ethic, that are dedicated and willing to listen, learn, and have goals of competing and playing at the highest level. Wes Etheridge brings a no nonsense style of coaching, is very detail oriented and brings out the best in his players. He comes from CA and has coached some of the top travel teams in the country. His player development has led to his players signing D1 scholarships and getting drafted. Right now Wes has led his East Cobb Astros 14u team to a PG record of 29-3 and his 12u team to a record of 33 and 1. |
