The Colt 45s will be a new 10u team at East Cobb for the 2016-2017 season. The head coach of the 45s will be Steve Crane. I am the current 12u 45s coach and will not have a son on the team. Practices at East Cobb will be run by myself as well as Ben Blumenthal, co-owner of the East Cobb Academy and coach of the 14u Astros.
We are looking for athletic and versatile players with dedicated families whose goals are to learn as much as possible about the game, compete and cheer with class and represent the highly successful Colt 45s brand.
We are sensitive to and encourage multi-sport athletes. We will play a light fall schedule and then participate in winter workouts with the staff of the East Cobb Academy. We will play an elite major schedule throughout the Spring season.
The 45s will carry 11 players.
Private workouts are both available and encouraged. If you feel your son has what it takes to pursue and achieve excellence, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank-you for the overwhelming interest shown in Colt 45s Navy to date. I apologize for the delay in responding to inquiries as my 12u team just returned from Cooperstown. We were eliminated in the Final 4 (out of 104) breaking a 19 game win streak that included the TBS Wood Bat National Championship as well as the Triple Crown Georgia State Championship. This is the level of success the 2016-2017 10u Colt 45s Navy will strive to attain.

In response to several questions... 1) We will bat eleven. If your son is talented enough to earn a roster spot, he will be talented enough to hit and excel at the plate. 2) All players will play IF and OF in both games and practice. 3) Yes, we we will be an elite major team 4) I am still offering private workouts at the East Cobb Academy.

The cost to play on the 45s will be approximately $2,200 for the 2016-2017 season.
Contrary to rumors I've heard, Coach Blumenthal does not leave May 1 to coach an older team. He will continue to participate in all EC practices. His older team will practice immediately following 45s Navy.
