FCA/HITTERS PARK TRYOUTS
Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Hitter’s Park in Forsyth County, GA are teaming up to field teams for the 2017-2018 season. The strong reputation of Hitter’s Park will provide much of the sound baseball instruction while the FCA model of developing character and faith will be paramount.
We currently have one team at this age but are gauging the interest to add an additional team for the 2017-18 season.
Our first open tryout will be on Wednesday, July 12th. Tryouts will be conducted mainly by the Hitter’s Park Staff and a few other trusted evaluators. The number of teams that will be formed will depend on the number of quality players who tryout. Below is the tryout date and specific times for each age group:
TRYOUT DATES AND TIMES:
Wednesday, July 12th Rising 9U and 10U: 5:30-7pm Rising 11U and 12U: 7-9pm
** After our Wednesday night tryouts, players may be asked to come back for a ‘second look’ on either Saturday, July 15th or Sunday, July 16th.
Tryouts will be at Sawnee Mountain Park Field #5 (3995 Watson Road Cumming, GA 30028)

WHAT TO EXPECT:
COST Approximately $1,400 per player. Teams will also conduct fundraisers to reduce the cost even further.
FALL SEASON Expect a limited workout routine for the Fall. You can expect at least one day a week (most likely Sunday afternoons) of practice in order to stay sharp. Tournaments and scrimmages will be determined by the Head Coach.
WINTER SEASON Expect limited field time due to the cold weather. During these months you can expect more indoor batting and pitching practice at Hitter’s Park Indoor Facility.
SPRING SEASON Expect at least two practices a week with occasional hitting and pitching lessons at Hitter’s Park Indoor Facility. Teams will begin playing more tournaments (approximately 10-12) in the Spring and early Summer.
