The Sawnee Mountain Yetis are a rising 12u team entering our second season. We are based out of Sawnee Mountain Park in Cumming, GA (Forsyth County). Led by a volunteer coaching staff, we plan to play an AA level schedule throughout the season. We are seeking to add several players to an existing core group.
We feel that we offer a hybrid/alternative for players that want the travel ball experience, but do not want such a heavy load when compared to some other travel teams. We work hard to keep our costs reasonable, limit our travel distances, and balance our time on (and off) the field.
Fall - we plan to coordinate practices, scrimmages, and tournaments around fall sports.
Winter - we plan to train indoors, with on-field work as weather/schedules allow.
Spring - we plan to play local league games and multiple tournaments, including one out-of-town overnight tournament in late spring/early summer.
We will hold an open tryout on Sunday, July 30 - 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM - at Sawnee Mountain Park - Field #4. There no cost to attend, and we welcome players of all levels.

REMINDER ~~~ The Yetis will hold an open tryout on Sunday, July 30 - 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM - Sawnee Mountain Park - Field #4. There is no cost to attend the tryout.
We have received interest from current travel ball players, past travel ball players looking to return, and rec ball players who are interested in playing at a higher level. We welcome players of all levels and all positions. We do have a core group set, but there absolutely will be several available spots on this team for the 2017/2018 season.

If you would like your player to attend our open tryout, please let Drew Hamm know as soon as possible. Based on feedback, we are expected a good turnout and need to confirm numbers for planning purposes.
