The Coaches of Titans Black 11U Major team that went 33-17 ( Majors schedule ) and won 5 tournaments would like to announce our next phase and try out. This team made the final four at the Triple Crown D1 State tourney that was cut short by rain. This coaching staff would like to announce we are now MOVING to a brand NEW program with brand NEW fields as well as an indoor facility. This NEW team will play under the name GAP Baseball ( GA Academy Power Baseball ). We will be hosting a try out at the NEW Patriots Park in the Woodstock / Acworth GA area on Tuesday July 11th at 6:30 pm – 8 pm as well as a 2nd try out on Saturday July 22nd at 10 am – noon at the same Patriots Park at 1485 Kellogg Creek Rd, GA 30102. This team will be Head Coached by Jeff Myers ( formerly at Hobgood/ Cherokee Reds/ Titans Black ) This coaching staff has extensive coaching experience in travel baseball over the last 5 years. Over 200 wins and 20 + tournament titles between the 2 former Head Coaches ( Jeff Myers / Scott Strickland ) including a USSSA SuperNIT title, a USSSA State Title and a World Series Title as well. Our players grow in our system and learn the game and the results are successful programs with individual and team achievement. The coaching staff on this team have D1 collegiate and pro level experience. This team will play a MAJOR/ D1 schedule and play in multiple National Championships this year, to include the coveted Cooperstown 12U tourney which we already have our certificate for. These tryouts will not be open to the public but the coaching staff will vet out the interested candidates and families to ensure the player is skilled enough for this team and then discuss what the parent/ parents are looking for prior to the try out. This team is looking for highly skilled travel ball players. If you would like your son to be considered please email Coach Jeff Myers at jmyers725@yahoo.com and we will send you an information sheet that will need to be filled out for consideration. Thank you for your interest.

After reading many of the other try out post we thought it would be worth noting that most all of the academy teams are asking parents to pay close to $3000 a year PLUS the Cooperstown trip ( if they have the certificate !!! ) and that will be $1000-$1200 more per kid. Our team at 11U competed and beat many of the very same teams. There is no reason to pay this much for a top tier program for your son. Our budget is considerably less and we will play AT LEAST as many tournaments with multiple national title tournaments in our schedule and state championships. We also are not bound by 10 - 20 teams sharing the same fields and fighting for practice field space!! Most all the academy teams struggle to get field time for your son. We would love the opportunity to show you our coaching staff's experience and our program details and opportunities. We simply invite you to compare to the other programs and see what you think would be best for your son. Our brand of baseball is top notch and why should you pay more for less opportunity for your son? Let's us know if you would like to come join us for try outs.

At GAP Baseball we have a vetted tryout ( making sure the kids we bring out are at the major level desired skill level if possible ) to see what kind of talent we have interested and then make our final decisions from that point. There is no set amount of spots available at this point. The former players from Titans Black are ALL invited back to tryout. Some will tryout and some will not based on the parents desires for next season. Thx for your interest.
