The Sandy Plains Prowlers 11U will be holding open tryouts on Sunday, July 15th from 2-5pm. The tryout will be run in a clinic type setting by professional instructors from the Sandy Plains Baseball Academy. Players will be put through 3 hours of drills and baseball situations to showcase their skills
Our successful candidates are hard-working, coachable, driven young men that have a high level of respect for the game and their teammates/coaches. The boys are expected to give 100% effort when they step between the chalk lines. Strong pitching and travel experience is a plus. We are looking for ballplayers with great baseball families.
We will build on the first 2 years of success that we have achieved as a team. As a 10U team we played on the upper end of AAA and plan to continue to challenge our boys against the next level of talent. We have a top-notch professional pitching instructor that has spent 6 years in professional baseball, including 4 years with the Texas Rangers organization. We plan on adding a professional hitting and field instructor to the training of our players on a routine basis.
The Prowlers are a Fall sports friendly team. We will plan to play about 5 Fall and 13-15 Spring Tournaments. The Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge and a year-end destination tournament will be planned. We do possess a Cooperstown certificate.

Date: July 15, 2018
Time: 2-5pm
There is a $25 fee for attending this clinic tryout.
