My son is a major level player looking to get on a new team. We have been with the same org/team for over 7 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. I'm just wanting to retire as a coach! So in preparation for his HS years, I am looking to put him on a team that has non dad coaches and is competitive.
His stats are impressive, but I don't need to put those on here. He can play about any position but hasn't played much middle infield over the years.
We live in the Acworth area and can travel up to a 50 mile radius and I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars to go to all of these tryouts!

The East Side Mavericks are a professionally Coached team out of East Cobb. We have great facilities and with our new coach (Rick Elder) we will be providing top notch development and playing AAA/Major Level tournaments. Please come to tryouts and meet the coach.

13u East Side Mavericks will be holding open tryouts for the Fall/Spring 2018-19 season.
We are looking for players and parents that will fit into a fun team culture where we enjoy each other. Players are expected to be committed to a team first culture and to putting in the effort for the development of themselves. The program and player development will rival any major academy.

Fullers Park
3499 Robinson Rd
Marietta, GA 30068
Pony Field
Dates and Time:
Arrive 30 minutes before each start time
Monday July 23rd 2018 7:00PM – 9:00PM
Make up – Wednesday July 25th 2018 7:00PM – 9:00PM
Make up – Saturday July 28th 2018 4:00PM – 6:00PM
All players will be evaluated for general baseball skills including hitting, throwing, fielding, running with only players desiring to play as a pitcher or catcher will be evaluated for these skills.
The 13u Mavericks will play AAA tournaments and look to move up as development continues
We will play a limited Fall schedule to allow players to players the opportunity to play other sports. We will have winter speed & agility workouts along with indoor workouts, followed by a heavy Spring schedule competing at the AAA level. We will have an end of season tournament trip.
We have a paid coach to head up player development and player decisions. Our paid coach is
Rick Elder. Rick was a 1st round pick by the Baltimore Orioles in 1998 and spent 8 years in professional baseball, 4 years he spent with the Orioles and was picked up in the December 2002 rule 5-Draft by the Cleveland Indians where he spent the remainder of his professional playing career. After his playing days, Rick got into Coaching as a player/coach for the Fullerton Flyers, where he had the opportunity the learn from Greats like Gary Templeton, Tony Gwynn, Gary Carter and Ricky Henderson. After developing a philosophy, he found that he had a knack for developing players of all ages and ability levels into better ball players. Most recently, Rick was the Assistant Coach and Hitting Coordinator for Sprayberry High School.

| The 13u North Georgia Express out of Jasper/Ellijay are looking for a couple of players. Head coach does not have a son on the team. We have open tryouts this Sat.
