My 13U team is just looking to take a 5 day trip to the beach. We dont need to play in any of the big Tournaments where we have to qualify all year.. Anyone have suggestions?

GRAND SLAM @ Panama City Beach was a good one.

My personal opinion, go to a local tournament, let the families go to the beach another time with no baseball, JMHO though.

743 +1

After numerous trips, I figured out that it was a waste of money to pay for a condo on the beach for a tournament. The problem is that because of weather and constant rain delays, you were always jumping back and forth and really couldn't enjoy the beach.

Find a weekend tournament close to the beach, then go enjoy the beach the rest of the week.

Add to that a bunch of sunburn, and make sure to pack plenty of “monkey butt” and glide. Sun and surf, a whole team walking around and trying to play baseball with jock rot is miserable. Lol

I've been to the panama beach grand slam one twice, and the orange beach USSSA one once. PCB wins hands down. There is also the option for the 13u BCS in FT. Myers for Perfect Game 6/26-7/4...or if you really only want to be there for 5 days they have this tourney https://www.perfectgame.org/Events/Default.aspx?event=8621 June 7th - 10th. Ft. Myers doesn't have great beaches but they do have some and there is a cool boardwalk.

We did Omaha at 13 was great to see the college WS but the 13U competition there was not as good as what we faced here.

Thx for suggestions , I’m trying to find local tournaments that are close to the beach. I am looking for the “NWGA” of Florida or South Carolina .

Went to the Shipyard in Charleston last year and it was great.

Been to them all. Best one ever been to was when all the families that wanted to go we just went to beach for four or five days and had a blast. Playing baseball at the beach sucks. just go and let the kids have fun. plenty of competition around here to play.
