What's up with tournament directors not posting the format until after the schedule comes out. 14u PBR had 24 teams and did the win your pool to advance last week, with 16 teams not getting to play in a bracket. This week the PG Super 25 has 40 teams and is doing the same thing. $700 a team for 40 teams with 30 teams only getting 3 games is ridiculous especially when PG said on this forum that PG format will be gold, silver, bronze bracket. Not cool.
Either way, the tournament format should be posted prior to anyone paying or signing up. It is always assumed you will make a bracket with 2 pool play games, whether it be a gold, silver, bronze. We all want to make gold, but we also want to play as many games as possible should things go or not go your way. $700 for 3 games and then a $7 per person gate fee is robbery. |

Super 25 format is PG national I believe and not part of the new GA/FL series. I understood this is the same format used for all qualifying tournaments |

Kinda tough not to feed the machine when there's nowhere else to go to play real competition. |

Real competition? That died about 6 years ago. If you can pay, you can play.
The only competition now is the velocity that money exits parent wallets on its way to the promoters who have largely ruined the game.
18 players showcasing to beat a radar gun, and exit velo a launch angle fly ball out isn't exactly real competition. Want real competition? Find a forum where the ONLY goal is ya play to win, or go home. |
