After playing first tourney up in 13u this past weekend I love seeing how the game has changed. The 300+ foot fields make the game more enjoyable to watch for me.

- Position of the outfield is a lot more crucial now. No more just standing up against fence, a lot of outfield area to cover.

- Not just a homerun derby anymore on the short fields. Only 1 homerun this weekend out of the 300 foot fields. Came in first inning of first game from our 4 hitter, absolute bomb. Triples and doubles came back into the game on gap hits and down the lines. No more singles off the fence.

- Stealing 2nd base was not automatic anymore with the longer bases, catchers more key than ever.

- More double plays turned with the longer bases.

Gonna be a good year of baseball, a lot more enjoyable to watch I think.
