The Cherokee Reds 9U went 42-20 last season at the highly competitive 8U kid pitch level playing against all the best teams in GA and some FL teams. We are back at it in our fall season already and are headed to FL for the Triple Crown Fall Nationals against the very best teams in 9U baseball in FL. We have a AAA and Major schedule and we are looking for ONE last player to fill our roster for the remainder of the fall and spring seasons. This team is very competitive but we need one more well rounded player to help us to be prepared for the Spring and Summer push. Please email me if you would be interested in having your son come try out and practice with the team. We are practicing twice a week right now and playing every third weekend usually in the Fall on Sundays only.. It is not too late to get you son on this solid team with great family support.

Please email all inquiries to Head Coach Jeff Myers: jmyers725@yahoo.com

The Cherokee Reds have just finished our second fall season as a team. We have very solid base unit that came mostly out of Hobgood Park originally. We have had two solid fall seasons and a spring season as a travel team at Barnett Park under the Cherokee Reds program. We have the same coaches that started the program. We have private fields where we have incredible access to fields and top notch batting cages at Barnett Park. Our coaching leadership has back ground and success in Division I college baseball, former East Cobb Astros player as well as a former college coach. We love our boys and we are committed to growing young men, not only into great baseball players but fine young men that are well rounded based on learning commitment and hard work around the baseball field. We play a hard nose brand of baseball and are very competitive. We will play AAA and MAJOR tournaments in the Spring and Fall seasons with and against the best of the best in metro ATL, which has the finest baseball in the country in our opinion. We plan on playing 10 spring tournaments and 4-5 fall tournaments each year. We will rarely play back to back weekends giving our families a chance to st up and enjoy family time every other weekend. Most of our kids play dual sports and we work around that. We also are committed to teach fundamentals of pitching and catching along with hitting instruction every week during the winter around the basketball schedule. Our parents are a great group of folks with zero drama that you see in some programs. The nucleus of our team that have been together since 7U all stars have won over 90 games as a unit. Winning is not everything of course but these young men have learned to win through hard work and commitment. We are committed to having fun too. If the kids don't enjoy the experience they won't stay with baseball for the long term so we keep that in mind when planning our events. We just got back from FALL NATIONALS with Triple Crown in St. Augustine FL and we plan to go to the World Series at one of the beaches in FL or SC at season's end during the late spring. We generally will try to have two trips out of state a year so the boys can play totally different teams. The costs is very reasonable based several factors so DO NOT LET THAT HOLD YOU BACK.

We are looking specifically for a kid that has a strong arm and can pitch and throw strikes consistently and is comfortable playing Short Stop or Catching as well. A year at least of kid pitch is a must. We will look at anyone with high level talent of course. We are looking for ONE PLAYER at this time. Please contact me immediately if you think your son may want to go through a 30 min evaluation withour coaches and few of our players. We are ready to close this opportunity down with a new team member and new family.

Email me at jmyers725@yahoo.com with questions and your sons detailed information to include where he has played and what positions along with a description of his history as a player.

Thanks
Jeff Myers
