Well mother nature allowed us to get it in, and it was good work for all. I saw a few surprises and confirmed some things I already knew. Coach Chris has reloaded the gamers and will challenge for the championship every weekend. the jackets are legit, and don't let the scoreboard fool you, they hit absolute rockets the whole game against cross hit academy but just kept hitting them right at people. Cross hit academy will come down from Tennessee and give anybody a handful. they have a very athletic well coached squad. We spent most of the weekend at aviation and wish I had gotten to see more of the action at EC. Thanks to the TC staff for the hard work on the fields and the tournament ran smoothly as usual. As for the Roadrunners forfeiting the championship game, maybe somebody from the organization can shed some light on the subject. I heard it was due to arm soreness but can't figure out how a team carrying 14 players could have arm trouble to that level. I asked a roadrunner parent if they had anybody left to pitch and he replied "yes, but not the ones we want to." In the future it may be better to withdraw from a tournament before the championship game, if you have no intention of playing it. Our team got the victory but would have loved to earn it on the field, and I'm sure your healthy boys would have loved to compete, even if short handed. Good luck in the recovery process, and I hope nothing major is wrong with your boys' arms. I'm sure we'll meet again soon. |
