Now is one of the most exciting times in travel baseball because with school out, there are a few week long national tournaments being played. Perfect Game has the 13U Super 25 National Championship playing at the same time as the 13U BCS Finals. Both tournaments are being played simultaneously at MLB Spring Training fields in Fort Myers, Florida.

There are 34 teams in the BCS Finals, with six teams from Georgia. The teams are divided into 3 pools of 6 and 2 pools of 8. The teams will play 5 pool games. The top 2 from pools A,B, and C and top 3 from Pools D, and E will make playoffs. The Team Elite program has 3 of the 6 Ga. teams in the tourney.

The Team Elite Futures have gone 0-4 thus far in pool A and are in last place. The Ga. Bombers Hill have gone 1-3 and are in third place in Pool A.
The Elite Stars have gone 2-2 in pool C and are currently in third place in the pool.

The 643 DP Jaguars are 4-0 and in first place in pool D. On Friday the Jaguars were behind 8-12 when they scored 10 runs in the top of the 7th inning to spark a 18-10 victory over the MSI Bubba team from Garnet Valley PA. The Jaguars come from behind once again on Saturday when they scored 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth to over come a 4-6 deficit and defeat the Jacksonville Warriors Orange out of Florida with a 7-6 score. In their game against the Central Florida Outlaws Red, the score in the score was 4-3 Jaguars before the blew the game open scoring 6 runs in the final 2 innings to defeat the Outlaws 10-4. On Monday the Banditos Houston team scored 3 runs in the top of the fourth to tie the score at 8. The Jaguars score 2 runs in the bottom of the fourth to defeat the Banditos 10-8 and are in first place in pool D.

There are 3 Ga. teams in pool E. The Team Elite Prospects, not the team that went thru the season as the Prospects, went 0-4 in pool play. The Prospects had trouble scoring runs, after losing a 1 run game to Suncoast Elite 2-3, they were only able to score a run a game for the next 3 games and lost all 3. The are in last place in pool E.

The team that played as the Team Elite Prospects during the season entered this tourney as Team Elite. This team entered the tourney as one of the better teams in Ga. with an impressive 38-12-1 record. Team Elite went 4-0 in pool play scoring double digits in 3 of the 4 games as they cruised to second place in the pool.

The East Cobb Astros, also one of the better teams in Ga., are in first place in poll E. The Astros went 4-0 in pool play. The Astros pitchers have been exceptional, holding the last two teams to a single hit in each of the games and are sporting a sub 1 ERA. The Astros came into the tourney with an amazing 45-11-3 record including a 24-9-3 record against 14U competition. The Astros and Team Elite will play their last pool game against each other but both teams should make the playoffs.

Playoffs will start Wednesday and the Jaguars, Astros and Team Elite seem locked to make the playoffs with the Elite Stars still having a chance.
