We're fairly new to travel ball, but found this grade waiver. How will this affect travel teams? Do most teams play by USSSA rules?
USSSA Adds Grade Waiver To 13U & 14U... EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!!! USSSA has added a "Grade Waiver" to the eligibility rules for both the 13U & 14U age divisions. The rule is now in effect and will be published when the 2017 Rulebook is finalized.
13U: Any player who becomes 14 years of age prior to May 1 is ineligible for the 13U age division unless such player is enrolled in the 7th Grade during the current school year. Any player who becomes 15 years of age prior to May 1 remains ineligible regardless of school grade.
