| Sharon Springs 8U Premier for the 2017/2018 season will have 2 teams, one coached by Tony Murawski and the other coached by David Poteet. Try-outs for these two teams will take place July 23rd and July 30th from 4:30-6:30 at Joint Venture Park next to Dave’s Creek Elementary, your son only needs to attend one of those dates. If you reside in Forsyth County and your son was born on or after 5/1/09 he is eligible even if he has not played at Sharon Springs before. Please send an email to David Poteet at davepoteet1970@att.net letting him know your intentions to try-out by providing full name of son, date of birth, phone number, baseball experience by your son, and which date works best for you so we can plan accordingly. | This is an alternative to full blown travel ball at 8 years old which in my eyes is still very young for year round baseball. In the Fall we will develop pitching and maintain what we have already worked on and may play 2 one day tourneys. In the Spring, around February 1 we will begin Spring workouts working our way into travel tournaments in and around Atlanta. We will play the 8u Premier Forsyth County schedule as well which is kid pitch against other 8u Premier county teams and these games usually take place Tues-Thursday which gives us the ability to play travel tourneys on weekends. Our cost should be much cheaper than full blown travel teams at 8U. |

We will play out of Sharon Springs Park in both the Fall and Spring where we do not have to pay for field space. In the Fall we will have at least one dedicated practice on Sundays for 2 hours and possibly practice other times but both teams have kids who play other sports so we will work around those and practice when it makes sense. Fall is mainly getting these kids ready for kid pitch Spring ball working on pitching and fundamentals.
If you would like to try out for our teams we do not charge a fee but we need to know in advance who will show up as we want to make it as productive as possible to get the kids through the drills we need to see them perform in.

If you have questions about travel ball in general I would be more than happy to answer them. In order to play for one of our two teams you have to reside in Forsyth County. |

| We have one last try-out this Sunday July 30th from 4:30-6:30 at Joint Venture field in South Forsyth.
