1st-Unreal that it was $10 to get in. That was just for Sat and it will be another $10 today.

2nd-They were not going to rake the infield between games; it would make the area dusty we were told.
The mound needed repair since it was a little short and the kids were stepping off the end. After the other teams coach brought it to their attention, they started working on it. The batters box was also in need of attention and I might have said something about it to the director(or whoever it was at the table on their laptop) to start this whole charade. What the heck, we were sitting their waiting and waiting and waiting

3rd-This repair work finally started as we were running half an hour behind and were waiting for the game to start. The previous game finished on time and the boys for both teams were just sitting in the dugout shade after finishing their pregame warm-up. It appeared we were waiting on Umps? No reason to be running this late.....and the Umps were horrible all day. Do U Trip umps come from a different organization than the ones in PG, TL or TC events?

I keep hearing how this organization is falling by the wayside. What I know for a fact is that I have had much better personal experience at other events................for a few years now U Trip has been a big disappointment and if we play one of their events next year it will be too many.

BTW- I would much rather be giving props in support of an organization. I would like this to be somewhat Constructive in hopes others will have better experiences in the future.

End of Rant

Most teams in GA ditch USSSA by 12u. In other parts of the country USSSA is the premier event, but not so in GA. They have trouble making many of their tourneys, other than the SNIT, past 12u. I saw a 14u "world series"..with 8 teams in it! Might want to ask the coach next year if they plan on playing in USSSA.
