The Sandy Plains 11U Wildcats will be holding tryouts for the 2017/2018 season on Saturday July 15th from 9am to 12pm at Harrison Park (next to Lassiter HS) in Marietta, GA. The tryout will be clinic style and run by the Sandy Plains Baseball Academy.
The current 10U Wildcats are coming off a very successful season finishing with a record of 46-14-3 and seven tournament championships, while playing a AAA schedule.
Next season’s 11U Wildcats will play a high AAA/Low Major schedule. The team will have professional coaches from Sandy Plains Baseball Academy running practices that are structured and focused on increasing the skills and baseball I.Q. of each player. Practices will be held on a repeating schedule on the same field each week.
The fall schedule will consist of 1-2 practices a week while playing 2-3 tournaments. This will allow our multi-sport athletes to participate in other activities.
The spring season will start right after the new year with strength and agility conditioning. Field and indoor practices will start in late January with tournament play starting in late February. We will play 13-15 tournaments, but will not play in a week long destination tournament in an effort to reserve funds for Cooperstown the following year. However, we will play in a weekend destination event in 2018.
There is a $20 registration fee and can be completed at the site below.
