The 8U Peanuts are based out of the Marietta/East Cobb area as a good central point for youth baseball. We will be holding tryouts through July for our 2017/2018 season. Our coaching staff has over 12 seasons of successful travel coaching experience from Sandy Plains Baseball Association & Shaw Park (former home of the Peanuts). We will also hold individual tryouts upon request if your child cannot make one of the scheduled tryouts:
Thursday, July 20th 7pm - 830pm
Saturday, July 22nd 10am - 12pm
Tuesday, July 25th 7pm – 830pm

We are looking for athletic players that play hard, have a great attitude and can play at a competitive level. Peanuts will practice out of Skip Wells Park in Marietta 2x/week and plan to play 6-7 tournaments in the Fall. We understand that some players may want to play another sport in the Fall and will work with those families accordingly. Being an independent team, we are able to keep budgets low.
Please have your player wear a numbered jersey with name if possible and standard protective equipment (helmet, cup, cleats).

Thank you all for coming out to the tryouts. We are moving our scheduled tryout for today (Tuesday, July 25th) to this Saturday, July 29th at 10am. We will be sending individual emails to those we have been in regular contact with.
We are looking for a few more kids. The goal is to build a team in the fall, improve individual skills while working as a team, begin working on kid pitch, play a few mostly one day tournaments, and get ready for Spring (all while having fun of course)!
