Was sceptical at first, not anymore. Initially, I was concerned whether Demarini would dumb the new CF bat down, considering the ban of the last Zen. I decided to roll the dice, as all of their bats have been so great in the past. Received this bat 4 days ago from a voucher/return of a 2017 Zen 29/19. Opted for a 30/22. Checked the website everyday since 8/1, as they were out of stock. I was lucky enough to get one on 8/7, received it on 8/10. Broke it in slowly with tee work and soft toss, gradually increasing the swing intensity. All I can say is that this bat is crazy hot! My 80lb 11u is driving the ball hard! Although the bigger size and increased weight is making a difference, I think this bat is hotter than the banned Zen, and he hit some big shots with that bat. He hit one back at me so hard yesterday my arm went numb, (before I could get it back behind the L screen). This thing is dangerous! This bat is going in the bag, wrapped in a sleeve. Now strictly his gamer! No bp or warm up swings. It's absolutely perfect!

What a POP!
My son owns the 2016 model (the one not banned) and didn't really like it. This past week he played at Cooperstown Dreams Park, and borrowed a teammates 2018 Zen. First at bat he hit his very first homerun. And on his birthday at that!!! Guess what I got to buy for his birthday. He ended the tournament hitting over .500 and used the bat the whole tournament. I am very pleased with the bat and hope it continues to be his favorite bat. Way to go Demarini on the adjustments you made this year

So far doing well and hot out of wrapper.
Like thousands sitting on a voucher took what was available just to redeem the voucher and not get stuck. Pretty good pop, probably comes in heavier than stated weight, but solid bat. Not as hot as 2016 CF8s or Last Year's non retooled Zens, but still pretty decent. Only time will tell if it breaks or not, so far every DeMarini we have own has either broke (composite) or dented (voodoo). My kid is 4' 5' and about 76 lbs, swings hard but these bats shouldn't have the breakage issues they have. Again bat is above average, but keep in mind the Customer Service and Voucher redemption process is the worst I've ever seen, you just have to know that when purchasing the bat that it will likely break and you will have headaches dealing with Customer No Service and finding inventory for a replacement.

Bat is hot!! Hope it doesn't break!!
We love the Blue Zen -10 2 3/4, but our 11U team broke 5 during the spring and broke another 3 (new bats) in 9 games up in Cooperstown this summer. The Zen -10 2 5/8 was a great bat that held up for the entire spring season. We purchased the new Zen -8 and the pop and sound is amazing. Just hopeful this has more longevity than the previous years Zens. Fingers crossed!!!
