Buford Dingers is the best team in state. Maybe in the country. Everybody else is playing for 2nd.

EC Astros Navy and Force joined up. They pick up some BeeHive kids for major tournaments.

Rip City and Kennesaw set the standard last year with some of their tourneys, but Astros Navy ended PG#1 nationally I believe and they got better as the Dingers. There's going to be 5-6 teams that are the MAJOR major teams. The rest of us will fight for scraps!

Travel Ball Select didnít even rank EC/Dingers in their end of year rankings because they won that PG tourney with pick up kids while their regular kids didnít get to play. At least Rip City and Kennesaw play with their regular team. (Not affiliated with any of these teams). SBA Futures, Banditos (TX) and MVP (CA) will make it hard for Dingers to win those national tournaments.

Bronco31...Anytime, anywhere and we will 100% cover field and umpire costs! Travelbal rankings (anybodyís) are a joke. Oh and by the way, almost every team has guest players here and there, especially for big National tournaments. Go check out Remixís roster for Elite WS. Kennesaw may be the only team that doesnít.

Yeah, RipCity wasnít going to the Elite32 with a total of 9 players since 2 couldnít go so players were added to allow us to be able to play/compete for a week but those 9 played in every game just for the record. Didnít add a complete pitching staff or additional teams to the mix. Thanks for pointing out your concerns but weíre good.

Not concerned, but when someone wants to make false statements and put teams on a pedestal for not picking up players when in fact they did...I just like to point it out! Jrhowell13 you have a great team and Iím sure will be great again this year...but picking up a few extras isnít past yíall either.

National level baseball at times is about networking and combining for big tournaments. But guys like Bronco31 only know local ball and that is fine...we just have different goals!

Got it. I just remember the 9 or 10 total you had at 8u & 9u so we had to add something to the equation to try to give us the roles we were missing along with enough to hopefully make it through it healthy.

Beehive is a very formidable team with 3 EC Navy/ Dingers players. They played very well this past weekend. My question is can Beehive beat the Dingers with those 3 players?

False statements? Well Rip City mentioned above they only picked up 2 kids and their regular 9 played a majority of the time. Then you confirmed yourself that Kennesaw doesnít p/u kids.

SBA Futures who won the Elite WS had all of their regular kids and still won the biggest tournament of the year.

Fine, rankings donít mean anything, but I guarantee if EC/Dingers/Beehive/ finish in the top 5 in the country in any of the rankings, they will be the first ones to post about them.

In my opinion, it means more to win a national tournament or (any tournament) with kids that practice together all year around. What is it teaching the kids of the parents that have them always play for the best team every weekend? What will happen when they get to the real world?

Again, I am not affiliated with any of the teams mentioned Also, I am not signaling anyone out. It is just a general statement and my own opinion.

Good luck to all of the teams!

Bronco31 for someone not affiliated with any of these teams you sure do know a lot about them. I wish I had that much free time on my hands. But hey I guess if I wasn't busy putting my son on the "best team every weekend" I would have more free time. Since you are basically calling my kid out and questioning my parenting I will respond.

First off you can stop using EC....that was last year...we are now on Dingers. Yes we picked up with Beehive for fall b/c our team is made up of mostly football players and we were only going to get in 2 tournaments. My son doesn't play football and loves baseball so we had the opportunity to play with Beehive. I would have 100% preferred to play a full fall schedule with our team but that wasn't going to happen so we had to look for something else.

To answer your questions picking up with good teams forces your kid to produce or sit on the bench. It also teaches them to work their butt so that they are prepared to compete with the best b/c when you play on good teams you face everyone's best. Last time I checked that is the real world. At least the industry I work in. You either put in the work to get better and produce or you go looking for another job.

Shoot me your number and next time I need parenting advice I will give you a call.

@Bronco31. Please keep your parenting opinions to yourself! Anytime our kids have the opportunity to play baseball with top teams, meet new baseball friends, learn from new coaches and learn to thrive in uncomfortable situations...we will take advantage!

As much as I and @GoldenSombrero would like for you to refer to us as our new team, Dingers, if you do continue using the threee team deal please add Park Sharon to the list cause we played Beast of the East with them last weekend! But Iím sure you already know that with all your free time!

Lots of talk about these boys this fall and their baseball adventures! Plenty of better players and teams out there to talk about, I can name you plenty if you want to obsess over some others.

I donít think Bronco31 was questioning your parenting styleÖjust clearly stating EC coaches (Dingers now) should have focused on developing their kids.

My son plays on a majors team because he wants to play against the best. I hope every tournament we sign up for, some of the best players in the country are on the opposing team. If a coach has to pick them up or add them- so be it. If itís all about winning, there are plenty of tournaments out there that can be won every weekend.

Remix and Kennesaw appear to do both; develop & win tournaments. When parents are paying these academies $3,000 to $4,000 to develop their kids, itís frustrating for parents when an additional kid is added for a tournament Ė taking away reps. A couple of parents and/or coaches can ruin a team by obsessing about winningÖyou can develop kids Ė win games/tournaments Ė kids have fun.

Here's the only problem I see with pick up players is when it comes down to rankings. You can't rank a team who is constantly picking up players and has a fluid roster because that's not a "team". That is just a group of individuals playing under a name, therefore, you really never know how good they are or aren't. This again is not a problem, except for when it comes down to certain invitational tournaments like PG World Series' or USSSA Select etc. In that case you end up with teams that don't belong in that "elite" group which honestly isn't good for that team or the actual elite level teams that did it the right way through development.

IMO, I understand it in the fall because players need to pick up due to other players on the team being committed to football or other activities, but when spring rolls around teams should stick to their roster and roll with what they have and either you are good enough or you aren't. This is for 13U and under.

For older teams, I think you throw all of that stuff out the window because kids need freedom to pick up with certain teams to be at certain tournaments or showcases where the coaches they want to play in front of will be.

Unfortunately, that mentality has trickled down into the younger ages in the spring where some kids literally never commit to any roster and just pick up with anyone and everyone.

There is plenty of good competition to be found without having to go play teams that are "loaded" up.

It took you longer to write your reply then for me to look up any information.

I was just saying my information wasnít false and I was stating facts that were already mentioned above. I am not sure why you are having to make fun of me for knowing who won the Elite WS. It takes 30 seconds to look it up. I didnít look up rankings. Like I said those teams post them.
I donít mind a friendly discussion, but please refer to the facts.

I am not on here questioning parenting skills. I am just saying it means more to ME (which is nothing against anyone else) if you win a big tournament with kids that you developed instead of putting together a super team every year.

I am sorry if I offended anyone. It wasnít my intention.

Agreed. No offense...anyone can choose to do and run things their way, but there is something to be said to committing to 11 or 12 kids working with them 10-12 months a year making them better and watching them grow. I want to win as much as the next person, but for me it's about the process not the product. Anyone can find two or three studs a weekend to pick up and make their team look like world beaters. There are far fewer "true coaches" out there that can actually make that type of long term commitment and teach the game and the fundamentals that it takes to be good with the same group week after week!

For what itís worth my son has been on ECB/Dingers going on 3 years now I am more than happy with his development as a baseball player. I know there are other coaches developing kids but so are the Dinger coaches. Good luck to all.
