which do you think is better for the kids? In CP you get more defensive work in games but not the pitching.

I suggest starting off at coach pitch. As the season progresses change over to kid pitch and get them adjusted before the 9u season. It worked well for us.

Who will be the better teams in 8U coach pitch? Better tournaments? Thanks for any help.

As far as coach pitch goes you will probably have to be up around the Dalton area as that's where most of the coach pitch happens. Check Openbaseball.net in the spring as they usually have tournament for 50 dollars. Last year they did anyway.

I prefer CP for the most part until 9. Don't believe all the hype regarding the need to go to KP at 7 or early in the year at 8. I agree with topdog. However, if your team does not have at least 5 kids that can throw strikes, then I would stay with CP.

Stockbridge, Mcdonough, Locust Grove, and Macon are all strong with 8u, 7u, and 6u usssa teams and tournaments. I put on a 7/8u tournament this past Sunday in Locust Grove and had 5 teams show. In the spring tournamnets here will have anywhere from 6-10 teams each weekend. If any of you are interested give me your team info and I will contact you when we have tournaments. justinm@yahoo.com /Coach Justin 8u Seminoles
