bigroc19 the Bombers are no longer together.
Those players have been spread out throughout 3 different teams from what I hear.
I hear there will be several big boy teams this coming season!!! We will soon see !!!

I doubt you will get many answers from the fall. Most teams typically have half their team playing football, so most are not practicing very much with their full squad. I personally pitch 1 kid per inning in the fall and rotate kids every inning during the fall to help develop my entire team. Nothing matters until March.
I can tell you the Georgia Bombers, Kennesaw Generals, Force, Team Rawlings, Next Level, Parkview, Expos, and the Yard Dawgs should all battle every Sunday. These are all teams I've seen and know they have improved their squad from last year. I'm sure you can add a hand full of teams to the list above that I've never seen.

@fasterthanyou..when I said Bombers I was talking about the Mizuno team from last year..they are the Ga Bombers..Gamers are the old Hardknox..it appears the Longhorns are the old Westcobb Bombers...they pounded the Bats at PG last weekend.

Agree with fastball...not going to see true arsenal as most teams will use the fall to work on different things, but the major teams will still reign superior and anyone one of them can win on any weekend.

In no particular order...

Georgia Bombers
Carl Black Longhorns
Kennesaw Generals
Force Baseball
Gresham Yard Dogs
Gamers
Meridian Athletics (Parkview Panthers last year)
Georgia Expos
Rawlings Cobb
Eastside Thunder

Man, I always enjoy the chatter from the younger age groups as I haven't been present in these age groups over the past couple of years cause of my oldest son. I've heard great things about this past years 8u teams seasons, along with numerous changes on everyone's rosters. Kids going to other programs, and new ones emerging every year. It will be interesting to see how fall pans out, but truly never know until all the football kids are back. Obviously, top organizations will be presenting their best 9u squads.. It'll come down to the best coaching on the kids as they now truly have to learn the real game of baseball. Here's my take on this upcoming year:

Carl Black Longhorns
Gresham Park Yard Dogs
Elite Gamers
Bats Baseball(Tennessee Team)
Meridian Athletics (Parkview)
East Side Thunder
Georgia Bombers
Kennesaw Generals
Rawlings Cobb

Plus there are always those sleeper teams that shock everyone

Looking forward to a great year,

"Dueces"

Training Legends tournament last weekend was very competitive. None of the four teams won both games in pool. Rawlings Cobb went 1-1, East Side went 1-1, Force Academy went 1-0-1, and Kennesaw went 0-1-1. I pitched 8 different kids in two games and let my boys work out through their issues on the mound. The teams that develop their pitching staff now will benefit in the spring when you have to win 4 games on Sunday. I'm very please at what I saw this weekend from all 4 teams. All are well coached and have many weapons! Congrats to East Side on winning the tournament.

Fall Ball is such a poor indicator of Spring Ball success. Joey's team looked great - that 4 hitter is a stud - and Rawlings Cobb was stiff competition. NONE of the teams threw their best forward. We, East Side Thunder Premier, didn't pitch two of our best pitchers all weekend (they had pitched rec the day before). Not a good litmus test, but if you look at fielding, hitting, catching, baserunning, and Baseball IQ all four teams are salty.

For those interested in watching some good baseball in this age group, many of the top teams are playing at Hobgood all day Sunday. Believe most of the teams mentioned throughout this strand are participating. Once again, it will be fall ball, with pitchers going an inning or two (I don't know what Mike will do with Longhorns or other teams). It's Fall Ball. It's about development and lessons learned.

Lesson learned so far: Atlanta area baseball is filled with solid players and caring, knowledgable coaches at the 9U level. Spring can't get here fast enough.

There is a 9U Parkview Tournament 10/15 with a 3 game guarantee. Let me know if interested and I can email or text you the flyer. There will also be 10U-14U age groups between the weekends of 10/8 & 10/15 if interested in any of those age groups. Thanks
