What happened to the 10U majors? The schedule was posted and now it's all gone?

the 10 major tournament was canceled. we had 4 teams entered for the major tournament. on sunday 2/28, one of the teams unexpectedly withdrew from the tournament. as a result, this age/class was canceled.

OK, back to this tournament, the schedules are out and there some great pool games on tap. The AAA division is loaded with 6-7 teams that could contend. Some interesting early match ups, the best in pool games seem to be the Signature Park Spartans vs. the EC Outlaws & Yankees and Elite Attack vs. Kennesaw Mustangs.

I think it's going to be the Raptors vs. Spartans in the finals

Wow, sounds like the Slugfest was a great tournament. Many games decided by a few runs or less, both semi-final games were decided by 1 run and the finals showcased the GA Select & East Cobb Outlaws in the finals.

In AA, the Georgia Jays won a close one 7-6 over Norcross I believe.

Any first hand info from this weekend?

AA was a great tournament and the final 4 were good games. Norcross beat us (Iron Pigs) 8-7. I wanted to give credit to their pitcher who took a line drive off the right chest and stayed in the game. Unfortunetly for us the ball bounced right to the second baseman and threw our runner out at first. We hit strong all game, but just couldn't get a few to find any holes!

Any comments or notes on the Norcross vs Jays matchup in the championship?

We didn't stay to watch but it did end 7-6. Not sure how much pitching was left for either team and the final pitching tallies aren't posted, so we might never know. The Jays have a great arm that had only 1-2/3 on Saturday, but nothing was listed for him on Sunday so I'm not sure if he pitched in the final game or not. If he did and the Jays sqeaked out a 7-6 decision, then the Norcross team continued to hit and field well.

Just told that Jays won 5-4 and the Jays pitchers combined to no-hit Norcross. Few walks and errors is how Norcross scored.

The Jays pitcher (#9, I think) pitched against us as a righty and in the championship game as a lefty.

So, does that mean he get to pitch 16 innnings per USSSA rules? lol

Great Tourny this weekend. Great competition and it was run well. Umpiring was good and most games were real competitive. Thanks to all that were there!

At least he didn't switch up whenever we sent a lefty to the plate!!!

I know who that player is, he had his choice of 3 or 4 East Cobb teams but I think he chose to stay with a local team due to convenience.
