Hey, just sitting around the boards and realized I haven't heard anything from Baseballpapa in quite some time. Anyone know the scoop? Is he OK? His grandkids OK? He used to be here all the time and he hasn't popped his head up in a while.

Pappa is fine. He is working with the new crop of Pappa baseball prospects coming up. He convinced us to come to Gordon Lee Middle school. We get to see Pappa, Chaney and Tucker on a regular bases at the HS baseball games. Looking forward to playing with them in HS. We will have an awesome lefty pitching lineup.

Yep this is the first time I've even looked on here in a while. Don't see much of Baseballpapa or bmoser on here. Grandkids and kids in High School and some like my son moved on from baseball to other sports. I'd say 9U to 12U were the most fun times.

bballman, I really appreciate the perspective you and the other more experienced parents (and grandparents) bring to these boards. Keep hanging around here and posting please!

Maybe that's it. There are a few of us old codgers around with older kids, but not many. Personally, I think it's kind of cool to see some of the guys who have been around since the beginning still show up even though their kids are in HS or beyond. Just checked my profile. Been a member here since November 2006. That made my son a 13 yr old 7th grader when I joined. He's now a 20 yr old sophomore in college. Maybe it's me, I have nothing better to do. ;)

I noticed that a while back. Just guessing, but I think his grandkids are in the older age groups who don't post nearly as much. He gave it the old college try, but there just isn't a lot of chatter in the older groups. Kids have achieved their goals of playing in high school, or are playing for one of the alternative leagues/teams to get to the next level.
You'll see some recruiting buzz, an occasional slamming of the HS coach (because not too many dads coach anymore ;)) and that's about it.

I think he did allude to the fact that he had some younger ones coming down the pike, so he may reappear in the younger groups. He was the life of the party, wasn't he? Maybe someone who knows him can fill us in.
