I received a letter congratulating me because my son was
picked for the USSSA 2014 edition of the "Best Players in USSSA Baseball." My son is not a Major player.
Does anyone know anything about this? I tried calling, but you can't get a live person.

There's certainly nothing exclusive about it. In fact, if you didn't get the invitation via mail, simply click the button on their website to generate your invitation code.

Everybody who played a USSSA event last year will receive that letter. It doesn't matter how good they are. |

Is it asking you to send money? If it is, it is likely a scam.
Although USSSA is a very reputable organization. If you are looking for a real person to contact try
william.saunders@usssa.com he pretty much runs all those specialty team things.

Not a scam, but a waste of money. Basically, just like the "who's who" books that are published. You send in info, they collect all the info, publish it in a book, then sell it to all the people who sent in info.
It's just a worthless directory that they create merely as a means of selling an overpriced book that has their kid in it.
There's no merit in being in the book. |
