First year my son played his first USSSA tournament he got one, although I can't say for sure it was USSSA, but everything else we sign up for is in my name not his?

USSSA does nt give these addresses away I guess it would be more like sells them

We got the same thing for our older son for just a student exchange to Australia. Not baseball related. We passed. Looks like our instincts were right.

I had heard the same thing before posting this but wanted others to chime in about their thoughts on this. I am sure there are people that received these that get sucked in without knowing. I know several people on the HS Baseball web site said they got sucked in. I am sure this is another program that started with good intentions but has been run by people that are not baseball-centric.
I have heard that they get the list from USSSA, Little League, and any other baseball organization that they can get them from.

Until I am proven wrong I believe USSSA is giving our sons' information away. I have not read USSSA's privacy policy. The only reason I believe they received the information from USSSA is that is only tournaments my middle son's team registered for last year (his first season of travel ball). It just dawned on me that my oldest son's team did not play in a USSSA tournament last year and he did NOT receive one of those offers.

We received scholarship information packet from a "Major" University after my oldest son's nine year old season at ECB. That was a lot of forms to fill out. I wonder if we have to keep them up to date each year. j/k LOL...

Yes, my son (10y) got one of these. My wife and I were wondering where they got our info from. We were assuming school or something. I don't have it handy, but wasn't it in Holland? I only glanced at the letter and my first thought was "SCAM".

It was kind of cool for him to receive a letter of some sort. Maybe in 6 or 7 years he'll be getting letters from Schools to play ball.

Make sure you bring your checkbook to their meeting.
