Any 300 foot shots? Any homeruns at all? How big were most of the fields?

I didn't see the home run but heard that it barely went over the 225' fence but I don't disagree that this kid could make it to 300'. This kid has one of the prettiest swings you will see. We faced him 5-6 times with little for him to show for it. Key to these big hitters is location. Low and outside and weak ground balls to short or third is what you will get. He also got a couple of hits off us. Really good looking kid.

Moser,
FYI, Not sure what park the 9U or 10U divisions were played but not all the fences are accurately marked in Forsyth County. Sawnee Mt & Midway Parks measure the fence from the backstop I think. Sharon Springs & Coal Mt are legit, not sure about Bennett Park.

As predicted, you all would know who my 300' HR hitter was by Sunday. He hit the only homer I heard about (so far) in the 10U division. The fences were 225' x 8' high. He hit a liner 250', a little off the end of the bat. The wind was blowing in ~10mph. 1 at-bat later he hit one up against the fence for an inside-the-park job (really a triple w/ throwing error) clearing the bases. 5 RBI game. Too bad he didn't flush one w/ a little more lift so I could quiet all the naysayers. I don't think there's much doubt left in the minds of those who saw him this weekend that 300' is not beyond his reach.
