Well it was definately an eventful weekend. The prize goes to Braves Baseball Club for pulling it out and winning the National Division. They came in 12th seed (out of 12) and worked their way through.

(Looks like Russ has helped in pulling together an already talented bunch of kids)

Both championship games were close (one run difference in both games) but the American Division was played out about as well as I have ever seen by two teams at this age group. The excellent pitching was overshadowed by some great defense.

Congratulations to all 4 teams in the Championship (National Divions: Braves Baseball Club, East Cobb Combat, American Division: Tuscaloosa Red Sox, and Coal Mtn. Raiders). You worked hard to get there.

Looks like the American Division went as many thought, but the National had many upsets. Tuscaloosa looked really good and it is always great to hear the music from Coal Mountain. The finals were outstanding games in both divisions.

Great tournament for all teams that participated. Poor form for one team not showing up for bracket play Monday morning. That could have been meaningful in terms of pitcher's being used. Combat can sure hit the baseball. Braves Baseball Club won many close games.

Another sleeper is the Shiloh Black Sox.

Looks like the early predictors agree. My guess -- National Division -- Combat, Outlaws, Gwinnett, EC Longhorns do well with Combat winning.

American -- Collins Hill and Tn Dores Black the favorites. Tn Black has the better players after splitting up from last year. Agree that Dalton always has a good team but haven't seen them at all this year.

Toughest Pools: National -- Glavine, American -- Merker

Sleeper Picks - National Webb Bridge Bulldogs, American Coal Mountain
