Roadrunners deserved to win. They out hit, out pitched, out played, and out coached all of their opponents. The game against Mill Creek was a close one. The game against the Stars was not even close as the Roadrunners closed the door late in the game. The Blazers played them well, but not good enough. AAU and State Champs puts the Roadrunners over the top.......and they seem to get better every tournament.

The Jags and the Roadrunners are clearly a step above every one else in this age group.

Congrats to the Roadrunners on a well played Tournament.
Blazers continue to improve and challenge the top teams... Congrats as well & keep it going

Congratulations to the Roadrunners for winning the 11U Gold Bracket. They beat some pretty good teams to win the tournament.

It also looks like Ron and the Jaguars did well for themselves in the 12 year old bracket, coming in 2nd in the 12's. Congratulations to them as well.

These Sleepers may not have the depth to win it all but they can definitely create some problems and steal a crucial game from one of the Favorites.

EC Seminoles (Beat Knox Stars in Kennesaw)
Stixx Baseball (1-1 versus Jags this year)
Elite Gamers Blue (Played well in last Triple Crown Tourney)

Stars & Roadrunners are my favorites to win with Jags and Longhorns playing up against the 12's

Oh Yea....Pool E is UNFAIRLY top heavy!!!

Good question.... Would've made for a very interesting tournament had the Horns and the Jags played in it for sure!!!!

Coach Shook from the Longhorns has said from the beginning of the year that he wanted to play up in the 12's as much as possible. He has stated several times he doesn't care about the win loss record, he just believes playing at the 12U level will make the kids better in the long run...I don't think he would play in the 11's at all if the parents didn't keep wanting to...lol...

Just for fun:
Here's my pool winners:

Pool A - Oregon Park Wildcats-depends which team shows up that day.
Pool B – NYO Drillers-could be a sleeper early but will fade in bracket
Pool C - RoadRunners
Pool D - East Cobb Stars
Pool E - SFCB Renegades Cumming-will have it together this weekend been working hard
Pool F - N. GA Blazers

knuclecurve, i know that the Colt 45's have beaten the A's a couple of times but I'm going with the underdog. I know that the A's really want to beat the Colt 45's.
knucklecurve Posted - 06/03/2009 : 15:46:15
Hey Man, I agree with your predictions with the exception of pool B. I give that one to the Colt 45's. They have beat Webb Bridge two weekends in a row. Should be a great tourney. Look out for the short fields at Webb Bridge...........homerun derby!!!
Hey Man Posted - 06/03/2009 : 11:30:02
gohard, Mill Creek Hawks have also been playing good baseball. The Hawks beat a lot of good teams in the AAU State Championship. Example, they beat the North Georgia Blazers last weekend.

I think that game could go either way with Stixx and Hawks.
gohard Posted - 06/02/2009 : 20:52:26
STIXX will win Pool E. They have played some really good baseball of late.

Pool E is definitely the hardest of the bunch. 4 very good teams.

A1 Wills Park Redhawks Alpharetta
A2 Ocee Stars Alpharetta
A3 Oregon Park Wildcats Acworth
A4 East Cobb Titans Marietta
B1 Webb Bridge Athletics Alpharetta
B2 Sharon Springs Spartans Blue Cumming
B3 NYO Drillers Atlanta
B4 East Cobb Colt 45's Marietta
C1 Buckhead Braves Baseball Alpharetta
C2 SFCB Colts Cumming
C3 Academy A's Atlanta
C4 Georgia Roadrunners Atlanta
D1 East Cobb Stars Marietta
D2 Georgia Dawgs McDonough
D3 Team Wilson Woodstock
D4 Oregon Park Outlaws Acworth
E1 SFCB Renegades Cumming
E2 Mill Creek Hawks Buford
E3 Elite Gamers Blue McDonough
E4 Stixx Baseball Albany
F1 North Georgia Blazers Cumming
F2 East Cobb Seminoles Marietta

F4 Atlanta Hoyas Atlanta

Pitching is the key in this one. TC only allows a pitcher to pitch 6 innings over the weekend. May see some high scoring pool games.

Predictions?

Enjoy the games
