It only gets harder with the Triple Crown State Tournament the next big event. Who's got idea's on how this one might turn out. We talked about sleepers in one of the earlier posts. Has anyone Sleeper pick turned out be right.

Titan1, sorry, that would be the Kennesaw Express.
No matter how much talent these teams have, they have to learn how to win big games against the toughest competition. You accomplish this by following the Bandits plan as described by Papa. You will take some lumps, but you will get better. If some of these other top teams can stay together and become seasoned, I think you will see more upsets. I do not expect it to happen this weekend ;especially,if the Bandits bring their Cooperstown roster with them.

Papa; since the Grip are not playing in this one are the players that are going with you to Cooperstown joining the Bandits for this weekend also? If so you guys will really be loaded to defend your crown. Good luck

therealist is so on target with his assessment of the talent. We noticed this weekend at the USTBA State how much all of the teams have improved. There are no cakewalks and even with our pitching depth it gets harder and harder to continue to win these tournaments. I will be so honest with you all and tell you that much of what the Bandits have accomplished is due to a combination of hard work, depth in pitching, Coaching, really good kids that love baseball, breaks falling the right way for us, and good old fashioned luck. Right now we stand at 42 wins and 1 loss and even we would not have expected this with the caliber of competition we have played. At the first of the year we discussed what type tournaments we would be playing and decided that we would only play the best and that is what we have attempted to do and at this meeting we all agreed that we would lose many more games than last year due to the level of talent we would be playing so we are as much surprised at our success as everyone else. Thanks to all who have recognized this special little group of kids and know that we will continue to do our very best.

Which Express? Holly Springs or Kennesaw?

Picking one sleeper would be hard to do. As papa has stated many times, 10U baseball in Georgia is as competitive as I have ever seen it. With teams picking up players for World Series runs, I think several teams will continue to improve and you might see some suprises. However, still look for 6-4-3, Express, Chili Dogs Black, and Bandits in the final four.
