I heard he was playing with the San Diego show, but can't confirm. If he is, then they are playing at Kell tonight.

My son played the San Diego show this morning, and the kids had no idea where he was. However a parent did say that he was here this week but flew out nd he suppose 2 be back this weekend. Talking to diffrent team parents and kids that has played against this young man, the word is "GET YOUR POPCORN READY CAUSE THIS KID PUTS ON A SHOW"

Old Man - You are right, there are many many incredibly talented 16 y/o baseball players out there. But there is always a player that is judged to be No. 1. Bryce Harper is that player, whether you think he deserves it or not. From everything I have read and heard, by people who know baseball better than you and I; he's the real deal. Mark my words, less than one year from now he will be the No. 1 pick in the draft.

Oh and by the way, he was on the championship team in the 2006 USSSA Elite 24 and the 2nd place team in 2007. So he's got that covered for you too!

He made the 18U USA Baseball Trial Team. I would imagine he is dealing with that. The Team Trials Sept 12-18, with the 18U Championships in Venezuela starting the 24th.

He is a no show for 3 weeks. Amazing what an article can do for exposure. I have seen multiple players at his same age and his similar skill level in various states. I think that Sports Illustrated is over the top by calling him the Lebron James of baseball. His a great player........but he also is not the only one playing at that level at 16. His father is a great promoter and has been for 6 years....ask how many Championships of any kind does he have....Reminder, High School baseball is not as good as Elite level travel ball when the teams come together.
