Most of you know the Bombers didn"t win but finished in the final 4. I want to tell you about a great tourny. I want to tell you about the great pitching. I want to tell you about the big hits and the great fields the opening ceremonies and the many other things that made this a good tournament but it was tanted for me and has left a bad taste in my mouth. Not because of a 4th place finish and being on the threshold of a national championship and not being able to seal the deal but because of a team that didn't know how to control itself, its coaches and its parents. I was totally outdone with a certain overrated team. One that thought they were better than everyone else but could not show good sportsmanship when they lost. One that I have heard is not allowed back at Cooperstown for the same reason. They had parents fighting each other, coaches cursing and threatning to fight parents.There fans try to be a part of the game instead of letting the kids prove there worth these fans where blowing horns, beating drums and tamberines. It was a terrible display of baseball in there games as I had never seen them play and I would much rather play you Georgia teams than that team anytime. I truly feel bad for those kids because I feel like we are a product of our own upbringing. I must admit that they have some talent I just hope that they can get some good coaching some day. |

One thing that you can say about the Bay Bombers is that they play the game with class. To go as far as they did at the Elite 32 is special and they should be very proud of this accomplishment. |

10BB Your team showed great resilience. I watched your last pool game vs San Diego Stars where nothing went right for your Bay Bombers. Your kids could have slid down into the abyss from there, but didn't. From that low point to where the Bombers finished must have been one fun ride! That Grandma with your team is the hardest rooter I think I've ever seen...or heard. She was having more fun than should be allowed. You guys must have found the fountain of youth down there, she didn't look like a Grandma to me, and she sure wasn't acting like one :) Bully for her!

Biz, you guys have a lot to be proud of as your team performed well on and off the field. The situation you talked about is very unfortunate. In my opinion, these young boys need to learn how to win AND lose with class and dignity. |
