So, my son is not on one of the elite major teams, he's AAA. I'm familiar with how a majority of teams in that level operate during tournaments.

I'm wondering how the elite teams manage games during tournaments, and what I mean is "Bat and play 9" "Bat 10" or bat everybody? What about fielding? Do all play? Does it change between pool play and championship games? Basically is there ever a situation, where, like high school and beyond, where a kid who paid to play on a team, may not actually play?

Our team tried it once last year, and we had two pool games plus first bracket in one day. One dad was not happy that his son played only 30 minutes out of the 6 hours we were out there. We did not do that the rest of the year, we batted everyone and pretty much field time was about equal.

Honestly I don't know and am just wondering how the "big boys" handle it?
