Ok, I don't get it. Lots of talk on here about waiting for high school kids to get back -- which I get. What I figure, though, is that primarily we are talking about 9th graders, who have late birthdays. My son fits into that category, with a May birthday, which puts him right at the oldest you could be in 14u.

So, grade wise, that puts him technically with 15U kids. And we know there are tons of threads also stating, "play with your grade, not your age." Are there that many 8th graders playing HS ball? I highly doubt it, but could certainly be wrong.

So which is it? Shouldn't all these teams "waiting on HS" kids never really get them anyway, as they should be 15U? I understand that they have a choice due to age cutoffs, but it certainly seems like two different sides are heavily promoted.
