Posted - 03/22/2013 : 10:30:42 While you are sitting in your Ivory Tower, sipping your gin and juice, lets see if we can get you some things for you to do to be more productive. 1st- when you are getting your next pedi or mani, invite your usssa higher ups over and see if we can get Georgia teams playing on an even playing field with the rest of these out of staters. The new rule implimented this year by Ga. usssa officials clearly put us at a disadvantage in any tournament we play if an out of state team is in it. Some of the teams we are playing have kids active on 4 or 5 rosters for 2013, meaning , they are adding pitching depth and big bats to these teams when they come to play. 2nd-After your pedi and mani, maybe you guys can hit the hot tub for a while and discuss bats used in these tournaments. I saw bats that were questioned, being used that are coach pitch bats. The marucci junior cat 5 is recommended for coach pitch and for speeds of under 38 miles per hour. The bats i saw looked more like 2x4"s than bats from all of the flat spots and dents. Balls jump off of these bats quicker than the old Easton Stealth 27-15 blue and white bat. 3rd- I know i have most likely put to much on your plate for this week, but while you are at it, How about asking the the Man in the real Ivory Tower for some nice baseball weather from here on out. P.S. Always watch the "FUNNY HOP" |
