I REALLY think I'd better stop trying to get that "money" shot...
Every time that darn thing is with me at a game, he has a baaaaaad night.
Do any of you have the same experience?? |

Posted - 03/14/2011 : 15:24:43 bballman you sound just like my husband! I have to admit to being a bit superstitious myself, but he's really bad. Had the same trouble as rippit a few weeks ago. No more camera for me! |

Posted - 03/14/2011 : 14:00:26 Rippit, useing the video is also a great way to help your son learn from what he did or didn't do in the game. I video every time my son pitches and bats. Then Monday night is review time in SLLOOOOW motion. My son is guilty of always saying "I wasn't doing that", now he knows better. On Monday we now know what to work on before the next tournament good or bad. |

Posted - 03/14/2011 : 10:42:29 That might be a great idea. I know I just don't want to take the chance right now.
I'm pretty superstitious about baseball. I wore a hat I don't wear very often to a game last week and we lost, playing terrible. I will never wear that hat to a game again. It's weird and crazy, but it's what I do. :) |

Rippit, I know exactly what you're talking about. I have a nice HD video camera that sits out in the car at games now because son had so-so outings last few times I used it. I'm scared to use it again. I would really like to get some video, but I don't want to jinx him, so it's staying in the car for now. At some point, I've got to break it out, I just can't figure out when.
Maybe you can help break the spell :)
Maybe you should come video my son and I'll come video your's?? |

Posted - 03/13/2011 : 12:34:17 I've seen too many plays the "first" time through video replay. Hard to shoot and watch at the same time...
However, my theory is proving to be correct. Had the camera last weekend and kiddo was 0-3. Camera stayed right here in my office this weekend and so far he's 3-5 with 2 doubles. The last shot nearly left the park (and I was halfway up the backstop fence thinking it was gone )and I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish I had it on video so he could see that swing. Coach held him up at 2nd only bc we'd already had 2 thrown out trying to stretch their bombs into triples. Kudos to the opposing team for having the relay nailed down... |

Posted - 03/08/2011 : 17:03:55 I agree rippit so you just gotta have it ready all the time! Take pics of other players and you just might get lucky! And whenever bars is "taking" pictures we dont get any pictures! She needs to learn to watch the play through the lens!!! |

Posted - 03/07/2011 : 22:25:10 Rippit--doesn't matter who it is- I'm so into watching the play I forget I'm supposed to be taking pictures! The other moms dont let me hold my camera for long because I'm useless with it. |
