There ought to be quite a few good ones here. Mine is I have to touch the between innings infield practice ball before it goes into the dugout.
Never ever wash the coaches towel during a winning streak...etc. |

During the Super NIT half of our boys wore their dirty newly "lucky" pants for 2 days. The following Tuesday at practice, one of those players showed up in his lucky pants, dirt and all. His mom said he told her that the team wasn't going to wash them. I had to explain that it starts over for each tournament and to PLEASE wash them! We never wash hats, though. |

Rippit: I love it. My 10 U has to listen to either Metallica or some Eminem (clean version) on the way to the 1st game.
Anotherone of his nuances that I love is when he has 2strikes on another player, he alwys spits over his left shoulder before stepping on the rubber. He's leading his team in K's and averaging just shy of 2 per inning so there must be something to the spitting.quote:

I've never talked to my son about superstitions, so I don't know if he has any. I personally obviously will never use my camera ever again, wear a certain ring on my right hand and if his coach makes him take off his Phiten, I put it around my neck. Metallica on the way to play never hurst either. Actually, that might be his one thing.

I personally obviously will never use my camera ever again, wear a certain ring on my right hand and if his coach makes him take off his Phiten, I put it around my neck. Found small piles of dirt in my son's closet. Evidently he was emptying his cleats into the piles from different fields. We made him clean up and stop doing this. His game does not seem to have suffered and mom is much happier. |

Don't know why he does it or where it came from but my son turns his pillow case inside out at bedtime the night before every game? Started it middle of last year and hasnt missed a game night since then......
Us mom's just dont change the MOJO during a game we are ahead. Not allowed to move out of your seat for bathroom, concession etc. If we are losing somebody better be moving! |
