How is everyone balancing the boys school work with travel ball? It is definitely a challenge for us having two boys playing. Any tips/tricks?

I think that we all can relate to how difficult it can be trying to balance school and baseball! I try to really focus my energy on routine and that has helped a lot over the years. Just having set times for homework and really sticking to it. Also, I know one of my boys has recess the last 35 minutes of the day and so he will use this time to do homework if he has alot to do that evening. Anyway we can get it done works as long as we are all working together.

Middle school is tricky. Mine knows to get as much done as possible at school and on non baseball days (Monday). He completes his entire weekly math assignments and as much as he can in other subjects on Monday because no practice, lessons, or games! He also does work in the car on the way to practice and while at dinner waiting on food to come or us to finish. He knows that school comes first and if he falls behind there will be no baseball! Love of the game keeps him on task!
