To 14U Managers -- we are currently playing 13U and are beginning to look ahead for planning purposes to next year.

Since many (half?) 14U players will be in 9th grade, what happens in the early part of the season with regards to playing tournaments in Feb/March since many 9th graders are playing high school ball?

Do programs with multiple teams combine players in Feb/March and then split into the regular teams once 9th graders become available?

What other considerations are there when assembling a rising 14U team?
