Chain Marucci pulled off the upset over the weekend in McDonough with a 4-3 win against Elite Gamers-Sanders. The Chain defeated a strong Longhorns squad in the semis. The Gamers defeated an improved Elevate Baseball squad in the semi-final round to force the showdown with Chain. Chain was able to get on the board first, but had to hold on late to win it. There is no doubt that the Sander's squad is the top 8U program in the state, but the others maybe closing the gap.
