My son snapped his bat in half(I busted him inside) a few weeks ago so I am looking for another bat. I want to get him one he can use in a wooden bat tourney as well. I am seeing lots of different ones including some that are Composite.
USSSA site says wood or wood composite. But states no Metal AND wood bats allowed.

When they say composite wood do they mean the way its put together? Or is there the fiber type composite material as well as wood. I have seen some that are obviously 2 piece that look like a Composite handle with a wood barrel.
What is the scoop? I may just get the 2 all wood Ash bats for like $35 on Ebay, but There are some SWEET Green bats out there that my kid would LOVE to have.
Thanks for your help,
B
