What are some of the basic things you should require and expect from a paid coach ? How is the relationship normally handled between paid coach and team manager ?

I've never been either, but I can tell you from a parent point of view we expect the paid coach to be at all practices and games, ESPECIALLY games. If I, as a parent, hear the words "I have to coach my other team that night"....or...."well I have to take my kid to a showcase.....or....."I just don't have the time this week"....I'm not going to be a happy parent.
