GSA will be doing things differently with Legion Field beginning in the Fall of 2017. We will be offering teams the ability to host fundraiser tournaments at Legion Field. It is our goal to fill Legion field every night of the week and every weekend. Teams may host as many fundraiser Tournaments at Legion field as will go around for everyone. The only stipulation is that the weekend or weekends you schedule a team fundraiser, we need it to make. We don’t need tournament fundraisers scheduled and the field or fields sitting empty on the weekend. This is a benefit to you. This gives you the ability to pay for your Fall fee at Legion plus some.
We will schedule tournaments as teams pay their Fall fee. Once you have paid half the fee you can schedule one tournament. Once all your fee is paid, you can schedule a 2nd tournament. All tournaments will be GSA so any team that has not paid their yearly sanction fees will need to pay it to GSA. But in return we will help you in getting teams for your fundraiser by contacting teams for you and we will do your schedule on the GSA site. And will have your tournament or tournaments listed on the GSA site.
You can also schedule scrimmage games on any of your practice days and we will have the field reay to play and lined and get an umpire or umpires for you if you want. The only thing is the team you play will need to pay $25 to cover preparing the field and the 2 of you will need to pay umpire cost if umpires are used. That will be your choice.
Below is our plan for the Fall. Practice times will be scheduled 1 ½ hours apart. 6:00 - 7:30 and 7:30 - 9. If we do not get more than one team scheduled on a particular night, Then that one team can have 2 hours. Teams practicing twice a week or more gets to host more fundraisers than teams practicing once a week.
We will look at discounts for anyone bringing more than 1 team.
One practice per week. $550 and you can host fundraiser tournaments.
One practice per week without hosting any fundraiser tournaments. $450
Two practices per week. $1000 and you can host fundraiser tournaments.
Two practices per week without hosting any fundraiser tournaments. $900
Three practices per week. $1500 and you can host fundraiser tournaments.
Three practices per week without hosting any fundraiser tournaments. $1400
Please contact us as soon as possible if you plan to use Legion field this Fall as your home for practice so we can make plans.
